Jeffery S Basile, Financial Executive
Jeff has a 25+ year executive track record in finance, IT, human resources, management, and administration, with both public and private companies specializing in the technology and telecommunications sectors.
He has developed, implemented and managed the finance, facilities, human resource, and information technology functions in high technology organizations. In these roles, Mr. Basile has several accomplishments, some are listed below:
- Participated in private company equity issuances with an aggregate capitalization of over $300M
- Led his team to IPO readiness as the senior financial person in the company.
- Established treasury policies and processes for cash management.
- Hands-on global management of subsidiaries in all continents.
- Expert in software revenue recognition
- Ground-level leadership as the executive sponsor of several end-to-end Oracle implementations.
- Active CPA current in the latest pronouncements
Mr. Basile is a Certified Public Accountant with Senior Auditor experience (Coopers & Lybrand), and holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Marquette University.

Erik Dodier, President & CEO – PixelMEDIA
Erik Dodier is Co-founder, President and CEO of PixelMEDIA in Portsmouth, NH. Dodier attended the Whittemore School of Business and Economics (WSBE) at the University of New Hampshire. He then joined Cabletron Systems from 1991-1994 before founding PixelMEDIA in his apartment with Thomas Obrey in 1994 as a two-person multimedia company. PixelMEDIA, located at Pease International Tradeport, now provides web design and development services and has grown to over 50 employees servicing an array of companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 500. As President and Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for the day-to-day finances and operations, while focusing on developing new client relationships. Dodier is presently on the UNH WSBE Advisory Board, and is also a board member of Optima Bank in Portsmouth. He lives in North Hampton, NH with his wife, 2 children, and 2 dogs.
Peter L. Getman, CEO and Principal – MicroArts Creative Agency
Peter brings more than 22 years of brand strategy and entrepreneurial experience to New Hampshire Innovation Commercialization Center.
As CEO and Principal at MicroArts Creative Agency [http://www.microarts.com] his primary responsibility is brand positioning and go-to-market strategy. His goal is to provide the highest level of this service to a small number of select clients positioned for rapid growth. Peter has presided over 300 brand launches during his 22 year tenure at MicroArts.
In addition to founding MicroArts LLC, he is a founder of Maine Mountain Properties, The Bamboo Bottle Company, Todi Footwear, OhMiBod, N of One, Greenland Village, and The Getman Group. His primary responsibility and passion as a founder is leading his partners toward the big idea that drives new revenues.
His book, Brand Ubiquity will be released in 2011.
Outside of the agency, Peter is skiing, no doubt about it. His personal slogan is “Live life now.”
Lou LaMarca, President – IMS Ventures
Lou is a business consultant and investor, with over thirty years of industry experience, looking to promote the start-up and growth of green environment and science oriented businesses. Lou has a strong background in R&D, marketing and business management. He is particularly interested in developing more environmentally friendly products that offer sustainable benefits.

Eric Reed, VP Business Development - Timesheet Mobile
Eric is Vice President of Business Development at Timesheet Mobile, a provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) employee timesheet and location reporting solutions for small to medium businesses. Eric brings over 15 years of experience in networking, product development and technology and business model analysis, due diligence and investing.
Previously, Eric was a Managing Partner at Northport Investments, a venture capital investment firm focused on late stage, Silicon Valley technology investment and sits on the Board of Directors for Greentech Media, where he led the Series A financing.
Prior to Northport, Eric held the position of Vice President, Engineering at Mintera where he led the successful development of the sub-system which formed the basis for its high volume transceiver module product shipping today. Eric was among the first engineers at Sycamore Networks where he successfully led the development of multiple product lines, the product management of its core switching product and the diligence for business development activities that culminated in acquisition of Sirocco Systems and investment in Mintera’s Series A. Eric entered the world of technology start-ups as a hardware developer at Cascade Communications and started his career as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at MITRE. Eric holds a MSEE from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BSEE from Texas Tech University.
Dr. Rouzbeh Yassini, Founder & CEO – YAS
Dr. Rouzbeh Yassini is Founder and CEO of YAS. He has gained an international reputation as a broadband visionary for inventing the cable modem while founder and CEO of LANcity and for establishing the cable modem industry standards (DOCSIS) through Cable Television Laboratories, SCTE and ITU.
Dr. Yassini is well known in industry circles as the “father of the cable modem” and was twice named a CED Broadband 50 designate. CED Magazine named him “1998 Man of the Year” for creating and fostering the multibillion-dollar broadband industry. He is the author of Planet Broadband, a humanized look at broadband technology. The NCTA awarded Dr. Yassini with a 2004 Vanguard Award, one of the Cable Industry’s highest honors, in recognition of his contributions and dedication to the industry.
As founder of YAS Broadband Ventures, he serves on the board of several privately and publicly held companies. He has served as a executive consultant with Comcast, in charge of the next generation standard set-top box “RNG”, with CableLabs in charge of the DOCSIS and CableHome projects and as the cable industry’s point man on standardizing the cable modem’s global footprint. He has also served in the board of LANcity (acquired by Bay Networks in 1996); BAS (acquired by ADC in 2000), and TrueChat (acquired by Terayon in 2001). Dr. Yassini has been involved in managing and advising companies ranging from 100 million to 50 billion dollars and has been a member of the LGI advisory Technology board since 2001. In the spring of 2008, Dr. Yassini opened the Yassini Broadband Knowledge Center in Boston, offering research grants and facilities to investigate fresh ideas in Broadband technology that will improve the way we work and live.
Rouzbeh holds an Honorary Ph.D. in Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University, an Honorary Ph.D. from Merrimack College, as well as an equivalent MBA from General Electric’s Financial Management Program.
